AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE
Recommendation by the Police Department:
Approve participation in the Urban Area Security Initiative that would
provide a Portable Law Enforcement License Plate Recognition System for use by
the Police Department.

REGULAR BUSINESS (Item 8)
8.
HOUSING
POLICY REVIEW FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF AVAILABLE HOUSING FUNDS
Staff is seeking policy direction from the City Council/Agency regarding
the future expenditure of available housing funds including redevelopment
set-aside, HOME and partial CDBG funds and what type and where the housing
funds should be spent in the city.
Recommendation by the Redevelopment and Economic Development/Community
Development Departments:
Receive the presentation including staff recommendations for future
direction, take public comment and provide policy direction regarding future
expenditure of available housing funds.
